Woah!

Woah, it's been over a month since my last post. What's keeping me busy nowadays is playing PC games since it's sembreak. haha. I finished my researched proposal, finally and will submit it tomorrow. My grades for this semester is not what I was expecting but as long as I passed, I'm okay with it.

My thesis topic is "Showbiz Personalities in Philippine Politics and the Youth's Perception on Them." See, I'm really a showbiz person, even in my thesis, I can't help but include them. If anyone out there has conncections, hehe...

Our contingent in the NDC did great and I missed all of it since I did not join. 100% breaking adj, 6 out of 7 teams broke with two teams in the finals. ADMU did win again but getting in the finals is way better than sitting and watching other teams.

I'm currently planning activities for Polis in the second semester. We activities lined up but lacks in sponsorship. hehe.

I'm single again but still happy knowing that we really love each other. It's just that there are more important things to accomplish.

As long as we know that the love we cherished will not depart from our hearts, we will always be one. Be seeing you in a year's time!

Vote for Cass

Wah, nominated na naman si Cass.

Vote for Cass please. Kahit sino matanggal wag lang si Cass. Everyone is a backstabber, they talk behind Cass' back, I hope everyone can see that. Pinagluluto na nga sila, pinaghahain, ang gagawin na lang uupo at lalamon tapos binoto pa. Grabe talaga, you can see the backstabbing happening.

SOLID CASS all the way!

Yun lang!

My Last Semester

It's hard to believe that after almost four years, I'm about to end another chapter of my life. It's my last semester as a college student in the University of the Philippines and I'm not excited about it.

As if it was just yesterday that I entered the halls of Phil Am Life Auditorium for the freshmen orientation of the university. I can still remember appreciating the chorale that performed and wanting to join the singing group. I never did get in. Well, I did during my first year after a very long "pambubuyo" from my friends. But I did not continue my singing career because at that time, the curfew was strictly implemented and I did not want to be in trouble, so I quit. I did join the next year nung 18 na ako. Kaya lang, for some weird reason, the conductor did not like me and one of my friend because we were applying for the debate varsity. Now the debate varsity and the chorale had some kind of tension going because of room and time problem.

Well, I did get in the debate varsity and I'm very proud to say that, if ever I'll be graduating this semester, I became part of the UPMDC family. From kuya Eric's ancient words, "I held the chalk and somehow, in my own little way, continued to draw the line that others started." At the same year, I applied sa organization of my course. It was one of the most gruelling application I ever participated in. And after that, I'm really convinced that I got in.

My third year started with less load since I did not take one subject with a schedule I do not like. I became Vice-chairperson of my course organization, UP-Polis, for some unknown reason. After that, I loved this org very much with all my heart and exerted every effort I can into bringing more for the org.

My last year started with me as the Chairperson of UP-Polis. I never did get to debate in a competion (once for an intervarsity, and I broke together with my team mate Jim) but I did adjudicated for a quarter final round of IIDCs 3 and 4. It's not much like breaking as a debater or being a DCA like what others in the varsity accomplished but I would say, for me it's an accomplishment.

Of course, I never would have accomplished any of these without lots of help from my friends, blockmates and orgmates. It would never been half as fun and fulfilling if it weren't for them. And to them I say "THANKS!" Even if there are problems with friendship, we survived. Even if I almost quit debating, still I survived. Even if I almost resigned as Chair, still I survived.

I can't do everything alone. Kung hindi dahil sa mga kaibigan ko, I will not have accomplished everything. Kung hindi dahil sa kanila, I would have failed most of my subjects but because of them, wala pa akong singko!

It's hard to turn a page and end this chapter of my life. I don't know what will happen to me after college but one thing's for sure, I would never forsake the friendships and bonds I made during my soon-to-be four years of college.

The Goblet of Fire

I have just watched the fourth installement or rather fourth film of the Harry Potter series. Being a Potter fanatic, I was a bit disappointed with the film and I personally felt like it was a big trailer all along. It was like the movie was some sort of pirated CD. Tumatalon-talon.

Some fun parts were deleted like the Quidditch World Cup which I was one of the most exciting part in the fourth book. Some characters were not seen nor mentioned like my second favorite house-elf, Winky as well as Ludo Bagman. Percy was not even mentioned pati yung ndi nya pagkakasundo sa kanyang pamilya. Also one of my favorite characters, Sybill Trelawney. And many more.

But like the other films, there are fun things ro look out for Potter-fanatics. I listed some:

1. On top of my list is of course, the bathroom scene where Harry discovered the clue from the golden egg. Daniel's bod is woah! For his age, he's doing pretty well. Haha! I'll watch the movie again just to see this little scene. Lucky Moaning Myrtle. Sheesh!

2. Second would be the Priori Incantatem moment where Harry met the "souls" of his parents and got out of Voldemort's hands. This made me think that Harry might really be well, not straight kasi iniyakan nya si Diggory, which by the way is not that gorgeous.

3. I would pick the Yule Ball to be the third one. All of it from the moment Hermione walked down the stairs where Viktor escorted her to the unexpected rock scene, to the end where Ginny was seen dancing with Neville.

4. Next on my list would be Harry's tasks for the Triwizard tournament. Although it was entirely different from what I have imagined while reading the book, it was actually cool to watch. The Hungarian Horntail chasing Harry all around Hogwarts and destroying some buildings was overly dramatic but fun. The underwater scene was okay as well as the boring maze.

5. Last on my list would be Beauxbatons' and Durmstrungs' students arrivals. They did some sort of "ritual" if I may call it that while parading down the Graet Hall.

Although the grounds of Hogwarts are better this time around, I still believe the inside of Hogwarts is better on the first two movies. Storywise, I find it incomplete as in super. But I still enjoyed it. That's how a fanatic truly is. Hahahaha!
